MAHAVATAR BABAJI

BABAJI

Babaji was named Nagaraj (king of serpents) by his parents.  Nagaraj met Siddha Bhogarnathar and became his disciple. Nagaraj performed intensive yogic sadhana for long with him. Bhogarnather inspired Nagaraj to seek initiation into Kriya Kundalini Pranayam from Siddha Agastya.

Babaji is a great master of yoga living today in the Himalayas who is sometimes called Kriya Babaji Nagaraj, Mahavatar Babaji or Shiva Baba. His body has not aged since the age of sixteen when he conquered death and attained a supreme state of enlightenment.

"Babaji" simply means "revered father or grandfather," and many gurus and masters are called Babaji. But this Babaji is about 5,000 years old, a true immortal. In a moving scene from the book, Babaji promises to remain in a physical embodiment until the end of this earth cycle. He is called a "Mahavatar," the teacher of avatars.Much of the time Babaji dwells in the Himalayas near the pilgrimage town of Badrinath, India, with a small band of disciples. He is unapproachable physically, because to be with his immortal body, our own body would be "fried."Babaji, the immortal master of the Himalayas written about in Autobiography of a Yogi. About 5,000 years old, ever youthful, he is a great server of humanity. Babaji has every power: he travels by thought, and manifests anything needed from the air. He has promised to always stay in his physical body .

Babaji mostly works in obscurity, even while serving as a spiritual mentor to scores of masters. He has guided the destiny of India and her people, yet he is perhaps one of the most accessible of siddhayogis to walk in our midst in recent times. Over two millennia, Babaji has continued to nurture hundreds of accomplished disciples. Now retiring to a lonely Himalayan cave, he remained absorbed in intensive Yogic sadhana for years at a stretch, finally to emerge LAUGHING AT THE LIMITATIONS OF DEATH.

BABAJI AND 18 SIDDHAS

Shiva Puranas are filled with stories which describe how Lord Shiva, (the name for God among a major sect of Hinduism) has sat in meditation on Mt. Kailas, Tibet since time immemorial. He is worshipped by the yogis as Lord, and by all the gods as the supreme Lord. The history of the Siddha tradition begins millions of years ago with the story of Lord Shiva's initiation of his consort or Shakti, Parvati Devi, into Kriya Kundahni Pranayama (the scientific art of mastering the breath) in a huge cave at Amarnath in the Kashmir Himalayas (Ramaiah, 1968, p. 108). Later Yogi Shiva initiated others, including the Siddha Agastyar and the Siddhas Nandi Devar and Thirumoolar on Mount Kailas in Tibet. Agastyar subsequently initiated Babaji.

BABAJI'S CAVE

Like great yogis, Babaji can supposedly materialize, dematerialize and take on any form at will. He may choose to present himself as an old man, an animal or a bird. He once promised a devotee that he would attend a feast at the man's house, but seemingly did not. When the man later questioned him, Babaji replied: "I was there. I was the dog whom you fed the leftovers."

Babaji can travel anywhere in the universe. When he is too busy to do so, he sends specific instructions to his chosen disciples through birds. He's taught a chosen few how to discern birdcalls, and it may well be that the pigeon stridently cooing at your window is actually a messenger from the great seer!

SHIVA MY BREATHE

Lord Shiva is regarded as the representation of the Supreme Being.

Shiva is the destructive form of the Almighty. Lord Shiva is said to be half man and half woman. In the full figure of Siva the male and female principles are united. Shiva Linga - the symbol of Lord Shiva which consists of both Lingam (phallus) and yoni (the female organ) represent the totality of his nature and the totality of all created existence.

Shiva Linga is a rounded, elliptical, an-iconic image that is usually set on a circular base or peetham . According to some scholars the Peetham represents Parashakti, the manifesting power of God. ‘Linga’ is gender in general and phallus (the male reproductive organ) in particular. They believe that the base of the Lingam corresponds to the Yoni which mean vagina or the female reproductive organ.

The togetherness of Lingam and Yoni in a Shiva Linga as the point of energy, creation and enlightenment.
the lingam contains the soul-seed within which lies the essence of the entire cosmos

Lord Shiva is conceived in his unborn, invisible form as Shiva Lingam.

The God staying in a state blissful, enjoying in Its Own Self eternally, without any flaws is the Supreme Lord shiva. The Perfection is the completeness - there is nothing external that is required to make the Self blissful.
Lord Shiva is reckoned among the Tridevas (trimity). Brahma is the creator, Lord Vishnu is the preserver and Lord Shiva is the destroyer. Shiva is the lord of Shakti also.
Lord Shiva protects the souls from pain and suffering that would be caused by a dysfunctional universe

Lord Shiva is the Lord of mercy and compassion.

Shiva is a yogi who has notice of everything that happens in the world and is the main aspect of life.
He protects devotees from evil forces such as lust, greed, and anger.

Shiva is responsible for change in both in the form of death and destruction and in the positive sense of destroying the ego, the false identification with the form.  This also includes the shedding of old habits and attachments.  In Shiva the art of meditation takes its most absolute form.  In meditation, not only mind is stopped everything is dropped.  In deep meditation or samadhi, even the object of the meditation(like a mantra) is transformed into its formless essence, which is the essence of everything and everyone.  The path of Lord Shiva is the path of ascetic yogi.

MY SPIRITUAL GURU SHIRDI SAI BABA

PRANAMS TO SHIRDI SAI BABA

At the time of  suffering and intense distress, Shridi Sai Baba came to me in the form of Book Shri Sai  Sat Saritham.  I used to read the book continously without any break. It has given me a lot of experience.  I am believing HIM strongly in each and every step of my life. These writings also done because of him. In every way of spiritual enhancement HIS love and presence would be felt by me.

SAIBABA

The spiritual guru and redeemer of mankind, Sai Baba of Shirdi has been one of the greatest influencing gurus of the Modern times. As among the most popular Indian saints with an ever growing following of devotees, Sai Baba inspires an unflinching faith on his devotees with his clear cut mission to provide not only a spiritual awakening, but also saving the mankind from suffering and ignorance.

Saibaba encouraged charity and said, "Unless there is some relationship or connection, nobody goes anywhere. If any men or creatures come to you, do not discourteously drive them away, but receive them well and treat them with due respect."

His most concise message for one and all alike was "Why fear when I am here".

Saibaba's mission was to restore belief in god and according to him, "I give people what they want in the hope that they will begin to want what I want to give them (knowledge of the Ultimate)."

His philosophy ingrained 'Shraddha' meaning faith and 'Saburi' meaning compassion. According to him Shraddha and Saburi were the supreme attributes to reach the state of godliness.

For Sai Baba it was not the purity of the body but inner purity that mattered. No amount of physical and external cleansing would serve any purpose if the man remained impure in mind and heart. Therefore, Baba cautioned His devotees not to make austerity as an end itself, lest they should indulge in physical mortification.

Udi or the sacred ash was produced from the perpetual fire called 'dhuni' lit by Sai Baba in Dwarkamai at Shirdi.

Sai Baba would demand 'Dakshina' or alms from those who visited him. This explained the sense of non-attachment to worldly things. Hence Dakshina taught the devotees non-attachment or Vairagya.

With the total surrenderence and dedication for all activities, i submit my gratitude forever to my beloved Guru.

Dissolving in the love  of Shirdi SaiBaba and feel oneness with HIM.

APPO DIPO BHAVA -  be a light into yourself

BE YOUR OWN LIGHT

Create your light into your being you will have experience of your own self.  Dont live on borrowed light.  Just a small light is enough and you can go with the small light for 10,000 miles without any difficulty.

THIS IS THE BUDDHA'S FOOT PRINT

Buddha's foot print or Buddhapada is one of the aniconic symbols of Buddhism which is to say it doesn't attempt to be a true likeness of the master.  The frist foot prints were engraved in stone.  Traditionally, the toes of the feet are of equal length.  These carvings bear the imprint of the dharma wheel at the centre of the sole.  Sculpted images of the Buddha's footprints appeared long before any statues and carvings depicted the human form of buddha which came several centuries later.

Buddha's footprint come in another form called a "relic".  These  are naturally occuring rock formations in the shape of footprint.  Myths have grown up around some of the relics, including the Buddha's magical visits to those countries that have perpetuated his teachings.  Many of these natural foot prints have become places of pilgrimage for the devoted.  The most famous are located in Srilanka,Thailand and China.
